Prayer for Protection and Preservation

Lord God:  Heavenly Father, Good Shepherd, Advocate – 

Bless me to walk in Your ways, to meditate on Your Word.  Protect me from the wicked, the sinner and the mockers.  I long to be nourished by Your Word and to thrive like a tree growing by a stream of water.  Give me Your wisdom, protect me, watch over me and cause me to prosper.  ~ Psalm 1

I look to You and You deliver me from all my fears; I call to You and You save me from my troubles. Your holy angel encamps around those who fear You and You promise deliverance; bless me and deliver me.  I will always praise You for Your providence, for Your protection and Your mercy. ~ Psalm 34: 4, 6, 7

You are my light and my salvation; You are my stronghold.  I come to You for deliverance, for safety and for protection.  I will always praise You for Your goodness.  Lord, always allow me to dwell in Your presence both now in life and into eternity.  In You I will find all goodness in this life and in the next. ~ Psalm 27: 1, 4, 5, 13

You are my rock, my fortress, my deliverer, my shield, my stronghold, my fortress.  You alone are worthy of praise; I call to You and am confident that You will deliver me from all evil—from my enemies, from treachery, from death and destruction.  Authority over all of the earth, all elements and all of creation, is in Your hands.  You rescue me because You love me, because You have chosen to value and delight in me. ~ Psalm 18: 1- 19

Even when I am depressed, when I am overwhelmed, shamed and persecuted—You, Lord God are my Deliverer.  When I am despised and forgotten by those around me; when my flesh is weak and sick; when I am rejected, terrified and alone—You, Lord God stand by me.  I trust in You, I know that You hold my life in Your hands.  You hear my cry for mercy and You do not forsake me; You are my refuge, my shelter and my dwelling place; You hear my cries and You preserve me.  ~ Psalm 31

Lord, You are my shelter, I rest in You.  You are my fortress, my refuge, the One Whom I trust.  You are my shield and rampart, my dwelling place.  I trust in Your love and Your mercy, that You will save me from those who seek to trap me; that You will protect me from those who seek to harm me; that You will preserve me from illness, disaster and injury.  I call on Your Name and You keep me safe from those who wish me harm, from people and animals and all forces of nature that would harm my life or take me from Your presence.   Be with me in all troubles, deliver me from evil, bless me with long life and honor; bring me salvation, eternity with You. ~ Psalm 91

Lord I lift my eyes to You, I know that You are the source of my help and of all goodness.  You have made the world and everything in it; all of creation serves You, and I trust that you will watch me in love and faithfulness.  You have no need of sleep; You do not close Your eyes to rest.  Instead, You watch over me in faithfulness and love.  No harm will come to me in day or in night, as I come or as I go; You watch over my life forever. ~ Psalm 121

Lord, You have constructed all of the success in my life; I build upon the foundations of Your Word and Your ways.  I do not trust in my own wisdom nor my own strength; You stand guard day and night, You give me rest and sleep as I trust in Your ability and desire to protect me and bless me.  I hear Your Words and I desire to do them, I want to keep them and put them into practice.  Your Word is a strong foundation for my life; I rest on Your Word as a Rock which will not be shaken even when rain comes, streams rise and winds blow and buffet.  Bless and preserve me from all evil; strengthen my faith and keep me in You; give me wisdom in this life and unto eternal life. ~ Psalm 127: 1, 2   ~   Matthew 7: 24 - 27

Keep me physically safe and preserve my life; protect the lives of my family from anyone or anything which could harm us.  Guide my priorities; protect my physical belongings but above that, keep me from idolatry and from selfishness.  Protect me  in every way during this time of transition.  Give me wisdom in all of my choices.  Give me patience in every interaction.  Give me foresight and understanding; preserve me from fear, from panic, from irrationality and anxiety.  Bless me with Your presence to preserve and guide me in all things.  I ask this in Jesus Holy Name, trusting in Your eternal love for me and confident that You will see me safely through this life into eternity.  AMEN
